Salman Khan’s dad Salim Khan watches Aishwarya’s Sarbjit
The ice between Salman Khan’s family and the Bachchans is rapidly thawing. We recently had Aishwarya commenting positively on a public platform about Salman Khan being selected as India’s brand ambassador to the Rio Olympics.
Further thawing in relations between the two families was witnessed on Monday when Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan made the effort to see the new Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Sarbjit at a private screening.
Says a source, “The makers were not very sure of how Salim Khan Saab would react to an invitation to watch Sarbjit. He is known to avoid watching her films. But when the Sarbjit producers asked Salim Saab he readily agreed to watch the film and liked the film.”
The Khan family has an added reason to be interested in the story as Salman Khan had campaigned to free the real Sarabjit Singh from captivity in Pakistan.
Says director Omung Kumar, “I wasn’t there when Salim Khan Saab saw Sarbjit. But he spoke to my producer. I believe he loved the film.”
