Aakash Ahuja reacts to the viral ‘Thapki Pyar Ki 2’ scene that ‘defies gravity’
It is always amazing to see how scenes go viral on social media and sometimes it happens entirely out of the blue while sometimes it happens owing to the mere content of it. In the past, we have seen how some TV scenes go viral for the right and the wrong scenes but more often than not, it is about the content that has been some outlandish content.
On that note, the ‘sindoor scene’ from Thapki Pyaar Ki 2 starring Aakash Ahuja and Jigyasa Singh went viral in no time owing to how it defied gravity. Now, when leading man Ahuja was asked about it, he said that he did not expect it to happen and there was some glitch. He also mentioned that he doesn’t want to point fingers right now but he is happy that it happened. People enjoyed in whatever way and any publicity is good publicity. He also reiterated though, that it wasn’t supposed to come out that way.
For the unversed, in the video, Thapki (lead actress Jigyasa Singh) is seen standing in front of the mirror after her shower, all set to apply the sacred ‘sindoor’ (vermilion) on her forehead. Her husband, Purab (Aakash Ahuja) slips on a few drops of water on the floor, flings his arms, and reaches directly to his wife. The sindoor gets applied on her forehead by Purab’s hand.
When asked how and what his co-stars and he discussed after the social media blow-up on the particular scene, he said, “We were just laughing and making fun of ourselves. I had a word with the director and our creative director and we decided to not let it happen again. But it did happen again. The thali scene. But, theek hai. That’s a part of TV I guess. It’s not in our hands.”
Just after the sindoor scene, another scene went viral from the same show. In the particular sequence, protagonist Thapki is standing with a pooja ki thali and she gets pushed. The thali flies in the air, with all the members looking at it, another girl gets the time to push the thali and stand in line to make ‘sindoor ki varsha’ on her forehead. However, Thapki manages to push the girl, catch the sindoor by hand and the latter falls with ashes applied on her head.
