Is Sony TV’s upcoming Isharon Isharon Mein Based Upon Jaya Bachchan & Sanjeev Kumar 1972 Hit, Koshish?
Qissago Telefilms is coming up with a new show on Sony TV titled Isharon Isharon Mein. The upcoming show has, now, locked in its lead pair. Simran Pareenja who was seen in Zee TV’s Kali will be playing the female lead whereas Anamika fame, Mudit Nayar will be playing the male counterpart.
As per the reports, the upcoming show will revolve around two specially-abled individuals who are unable to hear and speak. Going by the plot, we assume, that the show will be a path-breaking for the Indian television and will rely heavily on sign-language or may be subtitles. It might go a long way to break stigmas and normalize the struggle the specially abled people have to go through in Indian society.
Furthermore, we could not help but draw parallels between the show and 1972 Bollywood movie, Koshish. The movie featured a love story between deaf and mute couple played by Jaya Bhaduri and Sanjeev Kumar and the struggles they had to go through. While the similarities or dissimilarities are to be seen, we wouldn’t mind if it is inspired from the same.
