Women should be financially independent before they decide to get married – Disha Parmar from BALH2

Sony Entertainment Television’s most loved show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 is a classic love story of two drastically opposite individuals who find love in each other post their marriage. The lead actors Disha Parmar and Nakuul Mehta have vowed the audience with their splendid performances as Priya and Ram. While the story is about how true love finds it way and becomes one of the important aspects of your life, it also emphasis on how women should be self-sufficient, financially independent and not depend on anyone for their happiness.

Priya’s character in the show exhibits a woman of today. She is a confident, secure and opinionated woman who doesn’t look to fit in the role of a ‘stereotypical wife’.

Sharing more about it, Disha Parmar said,

“Priya is a self-reliant, independent woman, who doesn’t seek her happiness from anyone. I have always been of the belief that women should always strive to be financially independent before they decide to commit to a marriage. Because, in the worst scenarios, a woman’s decision to stay or leave should not be dictated by her incapability to earn a livelihood. Therefore, financial independence is of utmost importance, especially for married women.”

As per the current track of the show, Priya finally took a stand and as she told Ram to ask Vedika to move out of their house. This step of hers will bring about a lot of twists and turns in the show.
