Karan will always remain a part of me: Shaalien Malhotra of ‘Ziddi Dil- Maane Na’
Sony SAB’s youth-based show Ziddi Dil Maane Na continues to enthrall audiences with its adrenaline pumping storyline peppered with love, friendship and all things action. This week, the show lands at a crucial juncture that’s set to change the course of the show forever. Replete with intense emotions and a life-threatening accident, the latest track promises to leave the viewers shocked and misty eyed.
Upon receiving the pendrive with critical information from Balli (Shaalien Malhotra), the menacing Charu (Abigail Pande) plans the ultimate blow and plots a motion sensitive bomb in the door of Karan’s cell, leaving him trapped. However, in an unexpected change of heart, Balli gives up on his misdeeds and decides to help Monami (Kaveri Priyam) track Karan (Shaalien Malhotra). Oblivious of the bomb latched to the door, Balli breaks into Karan’s cell causing a huge explosion, that leaves Karan fatally injured. Time stands still for Karan and Monami as the two anticipate the horrifying fate that has landed upon them. As the two exchange their sentimental final goodbyes, Monami is devastated holding her first love in her arms while he breathes his last.
Has Karan met his end? Will Monami and Balli succeed in escaping the building safely?

Shaalien Malhotra, essaying the role of Karan and Balli said, “The latest track has the biggest twist yet. Karan was going through a lot lately and just when everything was looking to fall in place, an unfortunate incident takes his life away. Karan had hopes and plans for him and Monami, and I could really feel it all vanishing away painfully in just a few seconds when we were filming the parting scene. To know that you are breathing your last breath as a character is an unfathomable feeling. This character has taught me so much. Karan’s discipline spilled over to my life and made me imbibe a healthier lifestyle. The way he took charge of his life was also awe inspiring. Karan will always remain a part of me.”
Kaveri Priyam, essaying the role of Monami said, “The latest episode was very emotionally draining for me with Monami’s first love Karan passing away. Losing a loved one is never easy and losing someone at such a young age and that too in an accident like this is extremely disheartening and agonizing. It leaves a void in you forever. I had to dig deep within to cull out the emotions that Monami would feel in that moment and match them to the gravitas of the situation. It will be interesting to see how she deals with Karan’s loss and her unfulfilled love which will be a different and challenging experience for me also to portray as an actor.”
