STORY SO FAR:

Living in a village known as Bhuvana, Mohi… Ek Khwaab Ke Khilne Ki Kahani is a story about a tribal girl, Mohi (Vinita Joshi Thakkar) who dreams big and aspires to be a successful doctor. As the story unfolds, Mohi is shown using a mirror reflection trick to light her village with the sun rays. Here, the villagers rarely get to see the sight of the sun.

Her simplicity and down-to-earth nature always manage to impress villagers. She enjoys studying and makes every effort to go to school. She wants to pursue further studies by going to a city. However, her mother scolds her while she discusses the city.

On the other end, Anusha and Ayush (Karan Sharma), who are living in Pune, decide to take their relationship to the next level, marriage, and convince their families. While Anusha is an intern in a hospital, Ayush is a photo-journalist.

Ayush intends to visit Bhuvana and do a detailed story on a Naxalite leader Satyakam. After persuading his boss for the story, Ayush plans to discuss it with Anusha. In the meanwhile, Mohi manages to impress teachers with her knowledge and a keen interest in studies. Later, she is shown arguing with a Naxalite leader Pratap who along with his aides comes to shut down the school.

WHAT’S GOOD?
The depiction of tribal culture is remarkable.
After a long gap, a tribal culture has been highlighted. The attires also appear simple and different from the glitzy outfits.

The landscape is also quite appealing.
The ensemble cast also manages to make an impact.
Education is important and how children in villages try to fulfill their dream of studying has been narrated here.
Mohi’s attitude towards life can be an encouragement for the youngsters.

WHAT’S NOT GOOD?
The show is heading on a slow pace.
The twists are interesting, but new shows need to be on a steady pace to keep the viewers glued.

VERDICT:
A remake of Star Jalsha’s show Ishti Kutum, Mohi… Ek Khwaab Ke Khilne Ki Kahani is an appealing tale of a simple village girl. The show is currently showing sequences at a slow pace which makes it monotonous. Hence, it needs to fasten up if it wants to be among the best shows on television. Besides, the show is highlighting the problems related to education that some of the villages like Bhuvana still encounter. It should bring forward more such problems to aware people.
