My father was really keen on me doing ‘Thapki Pyaar Ki 2’: Manish Goplani on NOT being a part of the show
The trend of bringing second instalments of popular shows is doing wonders on Indian Television. After the magnum successes of shows like Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2, Sasural Simar Ka 2, Bade Achhe Lagte Hai 2, Balika Vadhu 2; Colors TV is set to bring the second season of it’s popular show ‘Thapki Pyaar Ki’. The show will be produced by Ved Raj’s Shoonya Square Productions.
The prime cast of the show including Jigyasa Singh and Jaya Bhattacharya have been retained in the show while actor Akash Ahuja has been roped in to play the male lead in the show. In the previous season, actor Manish Goplani played the male lead ‘Bihaan Pandey’ in the show. The promos of the show have been out and are getting a lot of love from the viewers.

India Forums got in touch with actor Manish Goplani and asked him the reason for not being a part of the show, the actor said, “Well, I had got a call and I even attended a meeting. But I suppose the makers were wanting a totally different personality traits for the male lead’s character and hence I couldn’t bag the show. Honestly, more than me, my father was keen on me doing the second season of ‘Thapki Pyaar Ki’, considering it’s my claim-to-fame show. While I felt a little heavy, I wish all the best to the team. The promo looks amazing and I’m sure the show will yet again rule the roost”.
‘Thapki Pyaar Ki 2’ is stated to go on air in the first week of October.
